The 23rd edition of the Cornwall Film
Festival is about to open for entries from across the globe
Now is the time to enter your short films & music
video to our competition.
In 2021 Cornwall Film Festival changed it's name to Mor Media Charity to incorporate the wide range of work the charity does across the year. Cornwall Film Festival still forms the core of MMC and we look forward to welcoming you to CFF2024 in Falmouth and across Cornwall.
If your film is shortlisted your work will be judged by our panel of expert judges
This included in 2020 Andy De Emmony (The Last Kingdom, Four Kids & It), Kate Cheesman (Call the Midwife), Joss Agnew (Poldark), Yazmin Joy Vigus (Mermaids) and many more.
Shortlisted films will also be screened at the Mor Media/Cornwall Film Festival new Shorts Weekend (physically or digitally). Which will included screenings, talks, networking opportunities parties and more!
Our 2024 short film competition features a number of categories, including the following
(see Film Freeway for more categories inc. non-narrative and UK shorts.)
an short < 20 minutes made within the UK or anywhere in the world.
Short, immersive films in the emerging categories of virtual reality and augmented reality.
Experimental Film - Artist Moving Image - All Regions
The best experimental short films from moving image artists based in the UK and beyond. Can include both non-narrative or narrative elements, and music videos.
a short film < 20 minutes, made or produced in Cornwall.
a short film made by anyone in full time education- anywhere in the world. < 20 minutes
2D & 3D Animated Film
Short animated films in either 3D or the more traditional 2D style.
a short film made or produced by filmmakers in the South West Region of the United Kingdom. < 20 minutes
a short film < 20 minutes made by someone 18 years old or under as of the 31st July 2022. Well suited for those in education.
Environmental, Climate & Sustainability
Projects that address the Environment and/or Climate and/or Sustainability. This category includes all genres and nationalities.
We offer a wide entry window featuring different periods.

Short Film Pre-Selectors
Every year we look for pre-selectors for Cornwall Film Festival's BIFA qualifying short film competition! This role involves supporting our Short Film Manager by reviewing the suitability of submissions for consideration. The ideal candidate will:
